Logging 130 Home-Cooked Meals: Finding Wisdom Amid Soaring Leafy Greens

The home-cooking log kept in my app just passed 130 meals. Looking at the dinners, the average budget came out to 420 yen. Keeping it under a single 500-yen coin is perhaps the quiet reward of everyday resourcefulness.

When cabbage and napa cabbage get expensive, I sauté chicken shoulder tenders with zucchini, broccoli stems, and sweet green peppers in white wine. Even discounted mizuna, roughly chopped and tossed with sesame dressing, makes for a fine, satisfying dish.

Subtractions Past Forty-Five: Daikon Radish and Natto

While I look back fondly on my younger days when I could grab a late-night ramen on the way home, I want to listen honestly to what my body asks for. On evenings when I want to cut carbs, I pair natto with a generous mound of grated daikon and a touch of yuzu kosho.

Gently grilling miso-marinated pork and preparing a small side dish. Even without anything lavish, the time spent standing in the kitchen and working with my hands brings a soothing closure to the day.

Ate two packs of natto mixed with grated daikon, soy sauce, and yuzu kosho. It’s got protein, tastes clean and refreshing, and felt pretty great. Carbs are what catch up to me these days... It's basically just the toppings for chilled natto mizore soba, lol.

Giving Old Tools New Life, and Welcoming the Autumn Breeze

Intelligence Carried by 'hideo,' a 10,000-Yen Secondhand Mac Mini

I picked up a used 2014 Mac Mini for 10,000 yen, named him 'hideo,' and keep him running around the clock. Tasked with gathering information via Python scripts and CLI, he has become a dependable companion delivering morning audio broadcasts and scheduled digests.

You don't need high-end machinery; with thoughtful system design, everyday life becomes surprisingly light. Taking time to curate personal digital environments and prune redundant subscriptions feels remarkably like tidying up a sunlit room.

[Using a 10,000-yen 2014 Mac Mini, 'hideo,' as a personal AI intelligence hub] This is one setup that worked out wonderfully. At home, this used 2014 Mac Mini runs 24/7, gathering intel via Python scripts and generating scheduled emails, flash bulletins, and morning audio radio shows.

A Deadstock Overcoat and the Night Wind from the Sofa

An oatmeal-toned pea coat discovered at a vintage sale. When it arrived, it turned out to be genuine, high-grade deadstock made in the USA. Well-tailored garments transcend their era, settling naturally into one's hands.

Hanging laundry out to dry, walking down to the local market while red dragonflies dance through the air. At night, leaving the windows wide open to feel the cool breeze against the skin while sipping hot coffee on the sofa. A fleeting, quiet luxury unique to this season.

Autumn means night breezes and coffee on the sofa. The window of perfect weather for home café moments is so short, but right now, it's absolute bliss.

Holding the Harness, Breathing Authorship into Form

The Arrival of Gemini 4 Argon, and the Mathematical Instinct to Tame Béziers

With the arrival of the new model, our stride in collaborating with AI has widened considerably. Yet there are domains beyond the reach of mere linguistic prompt-craft. Controlling Bézier curves in Illustrator or rendering scenes in WebGPU—in the end, everything comes down to structural integrity and computational precision.

Testing the model's fundamental power through building Azuchi Castle construction simulations and deep-sea exploration installations. The technological frontier remains boundless.

THREADS LOG 10/16 09:41
[Controlling GenAI May Call for Mathematical Thinking Rather Than Just Linguistic Skill] When LLMs first emerged, I thought language would be everything—I even gave myself the title DEFINER—and people widely claimed verbal eloquence would be key to steering AI. But pushing graphic design hard with Argon recently made me realize: past a certain threshold, it’s no longer literature. It’s mathematics.

Bundles of Discipline and Heuristics: Cultivating Personal Authorship

When delegating design to AI, the critical element is the 'design harness'—the reins you hold. By formalizing and passing down the aesthetics of whitespace, palette sensibilities, and a hundred disciplined rules honed over years, the output inherits the creator's distinct touch and personal flavor.

Disciplines not as instruments of homogenization, but as guardians of individual authorship. Daily practice exists not merely for money, but to elevate oneself. With that conviction, my hands stayed busy throughout the week.

THREADS LOG 10/17 20:46
[Harness of Control, Harness of Authorship] A nurtured harness can become a personal bundle of disciplines, heuristics, and aesthetics that safeguards an individual's authorship. People have often regarded AI solely as an engine of uniformity, but expanding in this direction reveals genuine promise.
